The Mather Group Sr. Manager, Business Technology - Solutions Architect

As they continue to expand their national footprint with offices in multiple states, they seek a Senior Wealth Advisor. As the main point of contact, will actively communicate with clients on a daily basis, providing advice on cash flows/tax planning strategies, estate/insurance issues, identify investment goals/retirement planning needs and implement recommendations with assistance of support staff. In addition, this position will meet with referrals in their territory and effectively close sales with the support of a leading financial planning team.

about THE POSITION

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Responsible for the overall solution design, implementation, and execution of TMG’s tech stack including the consolidation and sunsetting of systems and applications as required
  • Develop principles, standards, and solution patterns to guide and govern the alignment of solutions across TMG organization and deliver adaptable, forward-thinking architecture
  • Partner with management team and key stakeholders to understand business priorities and design and architect solutions that address constantly evolving business needs and challenges
  • Identify functional gaps in existing technology solutions and evaluate new technology solutions to drive business growth, in collaboration with the Director of Operations and Director of Engineering
  • Lead efforts to develop, execute, train, and expand the use of Salesforce.com and integrated applications to optimize productivity, marketing, and campaign management, inclusive of metric driven approach
  • Integrate complex applications with highly sensitive client data to ensure highest level of security, performance, stability, and reliability
  • Oversee Cybersecurity procedures and ensure best practices and systems are utilized
  • Develop detailed specifications and requirements for proposed business and technology solutions

LEADERSHIP & PEOPLE MANAGEMENT 

  • Manage technical partnerships across TMG internal teams and external partners and in support of all business functions
  • Manage and track IT budget & licensing
  • Lead complex projects with multiple collaborators and stakeholders
  • Engage in contract renewal and negotiation with outside vendors
  • Manage vendor relationships and facilitate the annual reassessment process for vendor due diligence
  • Perform general management responsibilities such as hiring, performance management and reviews, and individual development activities
  • Supervise two Business Technology associates; an IT Systems Associate and a Salesforce Administrator, and oversee Managed Service Provider relationship

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree: Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar
  • 10+ years of experience in information technology planning and operations, architecture design and deployment, information systems design and development
  • 10+ years design and implementation experience with distributed third-party applications
  • 5+ years of solution architecture experience working in mostly cloud-based environment with; experience using Salesforce (preferred), Oracle, SAP etc.
  • Solid understanding of the software development process, including requirements gathering, analysis/design, development tools/technologies, release/version control, contemporary testing methodologies, and deployment management
  • Demonstrate excellent planning and organizational skills with an established track record of positively influencing change
  • Strong understanding of configuration inter-dependencies and downstream impacts of decisions across all aspects of system
  • Works efficiently and effectively with limited oversight and direction; self-motivated
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to coach/mentor others
  • Highly organized and able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Adaptable and flexible, successfully operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
