HOW TO MAKE FEDERAL TAX  PAYMENTS  ONLINE

At The Mather Group, LLC (TMG), we encourage our clients make all federal tax payments online via the direct-pay function on the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) website. Why is this our recommendation?

  • You can avoid writing checks, using stamps and envelopes, and relying on a postal or parcel delivery service.
  • All you need is private internet access to make safe and secure online payments.
  • You can schedule secure online payments to be made automatically on specific days of your choosing, up to one year in advance.

The IRS website is equipped to handle many different types of federal tax payments. Follow the instructions below to initiate the most common types of payments.

  1. Click the button at the bottom of this page or click the following link to navigate to https://www.irs.gov/payments/direct-pay.
