The Mather Group Client Associate ( Atlanta )

The Mather Group, LLC (TMG) is one of the fastest-growing independent, fee-only registered investment advisory firms in the country, offering comprehensive wealth management services with our clients' best interests in mind.

TMG is a federally Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) with a fiduciary duty to our clients. That means we are obligated to always act in their best interest. When clients choose TMG, we work to mitigate any potential conflicts of interest regarding how their money is managed and where their money is held. Our financial professionals do not hold brokerage licenses, are not compensated by selling products, and do not earn commissions—we do not incentivize ourselves at our clients' expense. We aim to minimize cost wherever possible and to provide complete transparency about our fees, which are outlined in our firm's public disclosure documents.

What we are doing differently is educating investors on what fiduciary responsibility really means, at a time when it is more important than ever.

As a Client Associate, you'll be responsible for:

  • Calling prospective clients daily to articulate TMG's value proposition (this will fill the majority of each day during the first year of the aspiring Business Development Associate or Financial Planning Associate)
  • Driving business development through our proprietary sales process
  • Gathering information and building financial plans for prospective clients using MoneyGuidePro's financial planning software
  • Working with the Investment Committee to assemble investment proposals, 401k recommendations, and financial product cost analyses for prospective clients.
  • Learning all facets of TMG's technology platforms and integrations
  • Assisting the Tax Team in tax preparation and Roth conversion strategies
  • Enrolling in and completing a CFP program offered by a reputable university within three years of employment.
  • Ensuring professional development through ongoing education and participation in Wealth Management knowledge-sharing and training opportunities.
  • Assisting with firmwide projects, as requested

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • 1 year of professional experience in the Financial Services industry
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably with a concentration in Financial Planning, Business, or Communications
  • Strong track record of achievement and meeting/exceeding ambitious targets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A motivated, self-starter looking for a place to grow your career.

TMG is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes candidates from diverse backgrounds.
